Andi Potamkin runs Alternative Investments in the Potamkin Family Office. Previously she specialized in efficient space solutions for urban fleets, developing automotive facilities in Manhattan for the Department of Sanitation of New York, Spectrum Time Warner Cable, the Manhattan Transit Authority, and Amazon.

Ms. Potamkin divides her time between family businesses and her commitment to philanthropic efforts. She is Director of the Potamkin Prize for Research in Pick’s, Alzheimer’s, and Related Diseases, a partnership with the American Academy of Neurologists and the American Brain Foundation. Now in its fourth decade, the Potamkin Prize has awarded over $3 million to almost 70 scientists. 

The Potamkin Prize for Students, an annual scholarship awarded at the International Science and Engineering Fair in partnership with Society for Science & the Public was launched in 2020.

Prior to her current work, Ms. Potamkin owned art and design galleries in New York City and curated exhibitions internationally in London, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Paris, Antwerp, and Amsterdam. The experience equips her with a unique expertise in design, urban planning, and public presentation.

Also committed to cultural institutions, Ms. Potamkin is a Trustee of the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami where she is Chair of the Facilities Committee, focusing on environmental consciousness and sustainability throughout the museum.

She is a Board Member of the Sanitation Foundation for New York’s Strongest, and has curated exhibitions such as Picking Up NYC at Photoville (2020) and the 9/11 DSNY 20th year exhibition.

She is a supporter of the Columbia University Department of Psychiatry research programs, and is an active member of YPO, America’s Gateway Chapter. She writes articles for publications both in-print and online, and continues to curate exhibitions from time to time.

Andi teaches Permaculture Gardening and Regenerative Agriculture to middle-school students at the SEED School of Miami, and is passionate about environmental sustainability.
